The Firefighters Association organizes, hosts, and participates in various fundraising events during the year.  All donations brought in are wholly contributed to the Association’s general fund with the occasional specific event that might be earmarked for a unique donation.   Regardless of the occasion, all donations made to the Chelan Firefighters Association are taken in gratitude and appreciation and are received with the intent of directly supporting our community.

The largest Association fundraiser we host is “The Firelight Gala”.

Held alternate years in mid-February, The Firelight Gala features dinner, auctions, and dancing, with all funds raised going to a special Firelight Gala fund to be used exclusively for the Association’s charitable endeavors.

  • The February 2015 Firelight Gala, a “fireman’s ball” with dinner and auction was a huge success.  Sponsored by Windermere Real Estate Chelan and My Chelan Vacation, the Gala was held at Campbell’s Resort on Valentine’s Day.  Guests enjoyed a gourmet buffet dinner, silent & live auctions and dancing.

The Gala auctions raised a stunning $23,000.00, all of which has been donated by The Firefighters Association back to the community:

  • $7,565. donated to the Carlton Complex Long Term Recovery Group
  • $4,000. ($1,000 each) donated to the families of the 3 fallen firefighters and the burn victim of the 2015 Twisp Fire
  • $10,584. donated to Chelan Valley Hope for Fire Relief

Due to our fundraising efforts at the 2015 Firelight Gala, the Auxiliary was awarded a Red Cross Home Town Heroes Award of which we are all very proud and humbled.

The 2017 Firelight Gala was held on February 11th at Tsillan Cellars and Sorrento’s Ristorante and was again a great success!

Major event sponsors Windermere Real Estate Chelan, Chelan Vacation Rentals, and Zipfizz, along with sponsor Benson Estate Vineyards and various other contributing sponsors and wonderful auction donors all helped to make the event a total winner – the Firelight Gala raised an amazing $35,000.00!

130 guests attended and enjoyed delicious wine, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, silent & live auctions, and dancing to Waterdog amid the thousands of twinkling lights at the beautiful winter wonderland of Tsillan Cellars and Sorrento’s Ristorante.

The Gala was a fun, successful evening and we are so appreciative of all who attended in support of the Chelan Firefighters Association.   All proceeds from the Gala will be used to benefit the community and support the Firefighters Association’s projects, regional charities, and acts of kindness.
